VOICE LESSONS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTSChoose from group singers lab classes for beginners, private voice lessons for all levels, and add a Star Power Band for the ultimate music making opportunity. Included in this class are warm-ups, breathing exercises, sight-singing, note recognition, introduction to music theory, score reading, appropriate repertoire including young Broadway, pop and folk songs through solo and ensemble singing. Group and solo singing with mics and choreography is included. Parent is welcome to observe the lessons, or learn to play right along with the student FREE.STAR POWER BAND SERIESSING EACH WEEK WITH YOUR BAND!60 Minute Weekly Band RehearsalThe Star Power Band Series at the Frisco School of Music is our best value, and a very unique and popular series. Students have their regular private voice lesson each week, plus attend a one-hour Star Power Band Class each week as well.Star Power Bands are for beginners through advancing players on all instruments. Learning to play together as a team, mastering your part, putting it all together as a stage performance, learning about basic styles and forms is covered each week. Basic music theory concepts are also taught using examples from the songs the bands are playing. Students move ahead in their skill levels at their own pace, and the teacher assigns parts appropriate for each band member. Rock 'n Roll (classic and contemporary), jazz standards, and familiar classics.Star Power Band Series students participate in all school activities including: Star Power Performances (perform a solo for your band mates three times a year), Fall and Spring Concerts (perform as a soloist and with your band on stage with professional lighting and sound), Spring Music Festival (perform a solo for a judge and receive a certificate, comments and a ribbon), Achivement Auditions (optional), Rising Star Music Competition (win trophies and cash awards plus a cash award for your public/private school music department), Texas State Theory Test (optional), and more, along with our graded music theory curriculum (with private teacher).
