Continuing your music study in the summer will keep your skills fresh, and your motivation high. Weekly teaching schedules remain the same through June and July (see School Policies for summer make-up workshop schedules). NEW STUDENT ACTIVITIES:  Summer is a great time to try a new instrument or new music class. Students can decide if they want to continue with music study in the Fall, and get a jump-start on learning. Summer Music Camps at the Frisco School of Music Musical Arts Schoolhouse - 3.5 to 1st Grade:                 Camp Schedule Half Day weekly "Great Adventure" Camps with daily music, dance, theatre and art. Fun weekly themes with Friday special events. Eight weeks over June, July and August. Optional extended day through 3:00pm. Enroll for one week or all eight! Piano for Little Folks Camp - 4 and 5 year olds:             Camp Schedule  This is a fun active class that introduces music notation, finger numbers, counting and rhythms plus keyboard skills. Materials include a song book and workbook. Performance at last class. One week camps, 60 minutes each day, Monday through Friday. Piano Introduction Camp - 6 to 12 year olds:                  Camp Schedule This class is for new students who want to try out the piano lab before enrolling in the fall. Learn the basics of reading music, understanding rhythm & creating a musical performance. Materials include lesson book & theory workbook. Performance at last class. One week camps, 60 minutes each day, Monday through Friday. Guitar Introduction Camp - 7 to 11 year olds:                  Camp Schedule  This class is for beginners focusing on introduction to music reading, melody playing, chords & strumming, basic skills & techniques. Individual instruction and ensemble playing. Performance at last class. Materials include book, CD, handouts. One week camps, 60 minutes each day, Monday through Friday. Rock Star Singers Camp - 7 to 12 year olds:                     Camp Schedule  Featuring songs from Your Favorite Artists: Selena Gomez, China Anne McClain, Justin Beiger, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Miranda Cosgrove, Victoria Justice, Bridget Mendler, and more! Sing the hits from: A.N.T. Farm, Wizards of Waverly; Shake It Up; iCarley; Victorious; Big Time Rush; Good Luck Charlie! Learn correct vocal technique, fun songs & warmups, breathing exercises, stage presence, etc. Performance at last class. One week camps, 60 minutes each day, Monday through Friday. Private Lessons - all ages & levels:                                       Camp Schedule  Piano, Guitar, Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, Voice, Flute, Trumpet, Violin, Viola, Ukulele, Banjo and Drums. Seven summer lessons 30 minute sessions available. Choose your schedule based on availability. Ready To Get Started? Guitar/Bass Lessons Acoustic, Electric, Classical, Bass – we do it all! Our teachers tailor each guitar/bass lesson toward the students’ interests, plus teach the basics of music and rhythmic reading. Group classes for beginners and private lessons for all ages and levels. Flute/Trumpet Learn how to play the flute or trumpet, including basic fingering techniques with music reading, intonation, breathing, posture, embouchure, scales and more. Get personalized tips on renting or buying an instrument, and how to care for the instruments. Drum Lessons Our studios have two drum sets, so the student and teacher can play together, and student can easily copy the movements the teacher demonstrates at the drum lessons. Learn the rudiments, reading drum set notation, and how to play like your favorite rock star. All ages and levels.    Voice Lessons Learn to sing with a Pro!  Our teachers help you develop a solid technique with warm- ups, breathing, fun songs and repertoire that you want to sing. Learn to use a mic, stage moves, how to sell a song, front a band and more. All ages and levels. Violin/Viola Lessons We teach violin and viola lessons using a blended traditional and Suzuki approach including classical, popular tunes, fiddle, bluegrass and Celtic. We use up-to-date books and materials with CD’s so you can improve your ear and musicianship skills. Piano Lessons Group classes for beginners (small class size) and private lessons for all ages and levels.  Our teachers are friendly and patient and help each student reach their own personal goals. Starting with piano lessons gives students a comprehensive musical background.
